Bayonet now has Power Tools. After decades supplying the wire, netting, and hardware that keep New Zealand fences standing, the company has added a new range of staplers designed specifically for rural contractors. It’s a practical step: the tools sit naturally alongside the materials fencers already depend on from Bayonet.

“Most of the people we work with are busy enough without having to juggle multiple suppliers,” says Johann Kotze, Bayonet’s Sales Account Representative. “By offering the tools alongside the materials, we’re just making it a bit easier for them to keep moving.”

The new range includes three models designed for different parts of the job:

  • The Battery Batten Staple Gun (BSG315) offers cordless convenience for work on varied or uneven terrain. It’s well suited to boundary lines and situations where mobility matters, giving contractors a simple, hose-free option for everyday battening.

  • The Pneumatic Batten Staple Gun (BSG315AIR) provides a lightweight, balanced choice for crews already running air systems. Its consistent output and comfortable handling make it a dependable tool for high-volume days on the line.

  • For heavier fastening tasks, the Battery Post Staple Gun (PSG400BAT) delivers cordless flexibility on rural runs where speed and accuracy help keep the job moving. Contractors appreciate being able to carry it easily without relying on compressors or hoses.

To support the range, Bayonet also supplies compatible collated staples – available in plain, ribbed, or barbed knurled – giving a straightforward way to source both tools and consumables from the same place.

Johann says the early response has been encouraging. “We’ve had a lot of interest in the PSG400BAT in particular. Contractors like the idea of a post stapler that’s easy to carry and doesn’t tie them to a compressor.”

For Bayonet, the move into power tools isn’t a shift in direction, but a natural extension of what the company already does: supporting fencing contractors with reliable, practical products built for New Zealand conditions.
